For the first time in the history of the world you can wear the Sesh Medew Netcher (Hieroglyphic) text of the Htp Di Nsw offering formula on your clothing or display it as home decor. The Htp Di Nsw offering formula was a common offering formula found on Kemetic funerary objects, believed to allow the deceased to partake in offerings presented to the major deities in the name of the king, or in offerings presented directly to the Ancestors.
The formula begins with the words "an offering given by the king" followed by the name of a Netcher (nature/divine energy/aspect of the Creator) and a list of offerings given. The offering formula is usually found carved or painted onto funerary stelae, false doors, coffins, and sometimes other funerary objects. It is of primary importance to note that each person had their own name and titles put into the formula. The offering formula was not limited to the elite, it was used by anyone who could afford the inscription.
Today most, if not all, spiritual systems on the vast continent of Africa continue the tradition of presenting offerings to the Ancestors throughout one’s life in addition to the funerary process. In fact, spiritual systems throughout the world exhibit many similar characteristics.
